Use the Utilities > Change Audio Format command if you want to rewrite the audio in a project to a different bit depth. Your sound card must be capable of playing the project at the new bit depth,The Change Audio Format dialog box has the following fields:This choice is available when you are converting to a lower bit-depth. Dithering means to add a certain audio signal to lower-bit audio to make it sound more like it did as a higher-bit signal.
