Par ailleurs, Music Creator permet de contrôler aussi bien des synthés virtuels que des plug-ins d'effets. Grâce à la technologie ACT (Active Controller Technology) il est possible de contrôler tout plug-in automatisable se trouvant en fenêtre active et d'utiliser les mêmes mappages de widgets pour toutes les instances du même plug-in.
