SONAR lets you create groups of StudioWare controls. When several controls are in a single group, you can move a single control and have the remaining controls in the group adjust automatically. This is useful for many different mixing and crossfade applications. When you create a group of controls, each control in the group has a starting and an ending value. Here’s how these values are used:
When you position any control in the group somewhere between its starting and ending value, all controls in the group are set to the same relative position between their starting and ending valueYou can adjust the range for any individual control, even if it is part of a group, simply by holding the SHIFT key while you move the control. When you adjust an individual control by holding the SHIFT key, its maximum or minimum is adjusted, depending on whether the entire group is closer to its minimum or maximum value. The range for the control is adjusted so that its current position corresponds with the current position of other controls in the group.
