CPU meter modes

The Control Bar’s Performance module lets you monitor your computer’s CPU activity. The Performance module now has the following selectable CPU metering modes:

Audio Processing. Measures SONAR’s audio processing load, which is the ratio of the actual time taken to process a buffer to the buffer duration. This is the default mode.

System Performance. Displays the global system-wide load across all cores, as reported by the operating system rather than by measuring SONAR’s audio processing load.

Overall App Performance. Displays a single CPU meter for the entire SONAR process CPU utilization across all cores.

To specify the CPU meter display mode

Right-click the Control Bar’s Performance module, point to CPU Meter Options, then select one of the following options:

Audio Processing

System Performance

Overall App Performance

The selected CPU meter display mode is global, and will persist. The tooltip over the CPU meter shows the name of the selected mode.
