In previous versions of SONAR, the default project template was always named Normal.cwt. You can now specify any available project template as the default template.

When you launch SONAR while the On Startup Load Default Template global option is enabled in Edit > Preferences > File - Advanced.The default template is indicated by an asterisk in the New Project File dialog box.When you start a new project from a template, you can now specify the following additional settings in the New Project File dialog box (File > New) before the project is created:You are no longer required to immediately name a new project, so the Store Project Audio in its own Folder option has been removed because it is no longer necessary.If you provide a project name, the Location and Audio Path fields will populate with recommended paths based on the project name. However, you can freely change the paths.

Note: If you prefer to always use offline Help, go to Edit > Preferences > File > Advanced in your Cakewalk software and select Always Use Offline Help.
If you are not connected to the internet, your Cakewalk software will default to showing offline help until an internet connection becomes available.
