NYC Showroom Impulse Responses for REmatrix Solo Convolution Reverb (Platinum only)

The NYC Showroom impulse responses (IR) sample the main rooms from a legendary New York studio that spawned hit after hit in its heyday. The 126 new IR responses, with a mix of both stereo and mono impulses, extend the REmatrix Solo’s flexibility even further.

There are two IR Expansion Packs:

Big Room Pack. The Big Room Pack has 32 mono files and 16 stereo files.

Small Room Pack. The Small Room Pack has 52 mono files and 26 stereo files.

Although some may seem similar at first, you will notice differences with different program material. These responses have many applications, but a really useful one is adding room sounds to instruments taken direct (like synthesizer or electronic drums) to give them some ambience.

To load custom impulse responses in REmatrix Solo

1.	Click the down arrow inside the IR waveform display to open the pop-up menu, point to USER, then click Import.

2.	Navigate to, and select, the impulse response you want to use, then click Open.

REmatrix shows a confirmation message after the IR has been imported. Click Done dismiss the message.

Any imported impulse responses can now be selected from the same User menu.

Tip: REmatrix Solo adds all your IRs into one big file named userIRs.rir which is located at C:\Users\Public\Documents\Overloud\REmatrix Solo\userIRs.rir. To prevent the User menu from getting too unwieldy, you can rename the userIRs.rir file (e.g., userIRs_original.rir) so any existing IRs don’t appear, then experiment with loading the new IRs. This will create a new userIRs.rir file. Make a note of which IRs are your favorites, delete the userIRs.rir file, then rename the userIRs_original.rir file back to userIRs.rir, and finally re-import only your favorite IRs.
