Symptom: The Record button is lit and the transport is moving, but nothing is being recorded.
You may not have selected the correct recording device. Go to Edit > Preferences > Audio - Devices and make sure Recording Device is set to the input you are using. Make sure Playback Device is set to the same device that your speakers or headphones are plugged into.

Note: If you prefer to always use offline Help, go to Edit > Preferences > File > Advanced in your Cakewalk software and select Always Use Offline Help.
If you are not connected to the internet, your Cakewalk software will default to showing offline help until an internet connection becomes available.
