Video CDs hold movies in the format of compressed MPEG-1 video, which is about the same quality as VHS. The resolution of MPEG-1 is 352 x 240 (NTSC). Since each Video CD holds about 70 minutes of video, you'll need 2 discs to hold full-length movies. If the original pictures or movie files are set at a much higher resolution, they may look a little fuzzy when converted to MPEG-1. You can play video CDs on computers, most DVD players, and stand-alone Video CD players.
If you have a DVD burner, try that instead. Video DVDs store movies as compressed MPEG-2 files, which have a resolution of 720 x 480.
