I’m having trouble installing the SPS hardware.

Note: DO NOT connect your SPS-66 (or SPS-25) Hardware to your computer until you are instructed to do so by the onscreen dialog. Connecting your unit prematurely could disrupt the driver installation process. If you connected the SPS-66 Hardware prematurely, disconnect it and uninstall the driver by double-clicking the UNINSTAL.EXE program in the Hardware/Edirol FA-66/Driver/XP_EN folder on the installation CD.
First, make sure you download and install the latest driver for the SPS-66/SPS-25 located here:

Vista Drivers
To install the latest driver after installing the driver from the CD, please follow the instructions below:
Updating to the latest Windows XP Drivers (Firewire)
- Create a Temp folder.
- Download the appropriate driver, for your Power Studio audio device, into this folder.
- Extract all the files into this folder.
- Disconnect your audio device.
- Double click on the setup.exe file.
- Click Uninstall, to remove the current driver.
- Click Next to continue.
- Click Install to install the updated driver.
- Follow the instructions in the dialogs and refer to the quick start manual that came with your audio device, if necessary.
- Once the installation is finished, launch SONAR Power Studio and go to Options | Audio | General and click Wave Profiler button. This will update your audio settings.
Updating to the latest Windows XP Drivers (USB)
- Create a Temp folder.
- Download the appropriate driver, for your Power Studio audio device, into this folder.
- Extract all the files into this folder.
- Disconnect your audio device.
- Double click on the Uninstal.exe, to remove the current driver.
- Restart when prompted.
- Double click on the Setup.exe file.
- Follow the instructions in the dialogs and refer to the quick start manual that came with your audio device, if necessary.
- Once the installation is finished, launch SONAR Power Studio and go to Options | Audio | General and click Wave Profiler button. This will update your audio settings.
Using Vista Drivers with SONAR Power Studio* (Firewire)
- Create a Temp folder.
- Download the appropriate Vista driver, for your Power Studio audio device, into this folder.
- Extract all the files into this folder.
- Disconnect your audio device.
- Double click on the Uninstal.exe, to remove the current driver.
- Restart when prompted.
- Double click on the Setup.exe file.
- Follow the instructions in the dialogs and refer to the quick start manual that came with your audio device, if necessary.
- Once the installation is finished, launch SONAR Power Studio and go to Options | Audio | General and click Wave Profiler button. This will update your audio settings.
Using Vista Drivers with SONAR Power Studio* (USB)
- Create a Temp folder.
- Download the appropriate Vista driver, for your Power Studio audio device, into this folder.
- Extract all the files into this folder.
- Disconnect your audio device.
- Double click on the Uninstal.exe, to remove the current driver.
- Restart when prompted.
- Double click on the Setup.exe file.
- Follow the instructions in the dialogs and refer to the quick start manual that came with your audio device, if necessary.
- Once the installation is finished, launch SONAR Power Studio and go to Options | Audio | General and click Wave Profiler button. This will update your audio settings.
*NOTE: The SONAR 5 Power Studio software is not officially supported on Windows Vista
