GT Pro 2 has no automation recording capabilities. You'll need to create Volume automation by right-clicking on the waveform in the Edit view, go to Envelopes | Create > Volume. You can use this to draw your fades or highlight a section of audio while holding the Alt key, then go to Edit | Fade.
