Boston (March 25, 2010) — Cakewalk, a Boston-based audio company, will host its first annual charity fundraiser at the Lansdowne Pub in Boston on April 11th from 7:30 PM-2 AM. A charity raffle will be held with all proceeds to benefit MusiCares Foundation. The grand prize in the charity raffle will be a Cakewalk? V-Studio 100™ powered recording bundle featuring a V-Studio 100 portable music production studio, a Fender? Stratocaster™ with a face plate signed by Blink-182, and Shure? headphones. Other prizes include a Rock Band 2 Bundle for PlayStation 3, gift certificates to Newbury Comics, Red Sox tickets, and more.
Cakewalk prides itself on being a company of musicians who make products for other musicians. In that spirit, Cakewalk employees will also be performing at the charity fundraiser. A diverse lineup of bands are set to take the stage to help the cause including Magnolia, Baby Made Rebel, Los Sugar Kings, and Lunch Box. In addition, DJ Scotty Steel and DJ Josh will also be spinning music until closing time. Every band and DJ will feature at least one Cakewalk employee. See the full line up below for set times.
The festivities begin at 7:30 PM on April 11th and admission will be $5 per person. Attendees can purchase raffle tickets for $5 a ticket and get entered in the charity raffle. All door admission and raffle ticket proceeds will be donated to MusiCares Foundation. Boston radio station, Mike FM 93.7, will be on hand to MC the event and has generously donated prizes for the charity raffle. In addition, Cakewalk, Fender, Harmonix, Best Buy, Newbury Comics, and Shure have all made prize donations for the night.
