When running the SONAR X1 Producer Additional Content installer, some users may receive a message that states:

"A valid Dimension Pro installation has not been detected.

Please install Dimension Pro before running this setup."

You will receive this message if you have not installed Dimension Pro prior to running the Additional Content installer. If you have never installed Dimension Pro and the copy included with SONAR X1 Producer is the first version that you have ever owned, then you will want to make sure it is installed first.

NOTE: If you are experiencing problems installing Dimension Pro from your copy included with SONAR X1 Producer and are receiving an error message, click here for additional information.

You may also receive this message if you initially installed Dimension Pro from a previous release, such as the stand-alone purchase or the version included with SONAR 8.0 or SONAR 8.5. If this is the case, please read below.

Installation Instructions:

For instructions on how to install the SONAR X1 Additional Content, please let us know where you received your FIRST copy of Dimension Pro.

• It was included with SONAR X1, X2 or X3 Producer
• It was included with SONAR 8.5 Producer
• It was included with SONAR 8.0 Producer
• I purchased it separately

If your first copy of Dimension Pro was included with SONAR X1, X2 or X3 Producer...

Then you should be able to install the SONAR X1 Additional Content installer without any problems. You must first make sure that you have installed Dimension Pro 1.5 however. Please run this installer before trying to install the SONAR X1 Additional Content.

If your originally installed copy of Dimension Pro was included with SONAR 8.5 Producer...

The additional content disc included with SONAR 8.5 contained much of the same content installed with SONAR X1 except for a few differences. Here are three easy steps you can take to get the identical content:

1. Install the Dimension Pro 1.5 update from here if you have not already done so.
2. There are new artist demo projects included with the SONAR X1 Additional Content installer. These demo projects can be obtained by extracting the files from the 05_SONAR_X1_Producer_Additional_Content.exe extractor. A "SONAR X1 Content Setup Files" folder will be extracted to the specified location. This folder will contain a sub-folder titled "Demo Projects" containing the artist demo projects. If you wish to use these demo projects, you can manually copy them from there.
3. There is a new "Expansion Pack 3" available for Dimension Pro containing new bass programs from Digital Sound Factory. This new expansion pack is also included in the Free Dimension Pro Expansion Packs 1-3 installation. You can find this by clicking here .

If you perform the above steps, then there is no need to run the SONAR X1 Additional Content installation.
 
If you wish to not take these steps and want to install from the SONAR X1 Additional Content installer, then you will need to perform a clean installation of Dimension Pro to remove your previous installation completely. Full instructions on how to do this can be found by clicking here .

After installing Dimension Pro 1.5 from the version included with SONAR X1 Producer, using your new serial number in the CWDM-1.50-XXXXXX-XXXXXX format, you will be able to install the SONAR X1 Additional Content.

If your originally installed copy of Dimension Pro was included with SONAR 8.0 Producer...

And has a serial number in the following format: CWDM-1.10-XXXXXX-XXXXXX...
 
Then you will need to install the new copy of Dimension Pro that was included with SONAR X1 Producer in order to install the SONAR X1 Additional Content.
 
In order to do this, you will need to take the following steps on your computer:

1. Perform a clean installation of Dimension Pro to remove your previous installation completely. Full instructions on how to do this can be found by clicking here.
2. Install Dimension Pro from the disc or download included with your copy of SONAR X1 Producer
3. When installing, make sure to use the serial number in the CWDM-1.50-XXXXXX-XXXXXX format. If you do not have a serial number in this format please contact Customer Service.
4. After installing Dimension Pro, you can proceed to install the SONAR X1 Additional Content.

If your originally installed copy of Dimension Pro was purchased separately...

And has a serial number in the following format: CWDM-1.10-XXXXXX-XXXXXX...
 
Then you will need to install the new copy of Dimension Pro that was included with SONAR X1 Producer in order to install the SONAR X1 Additional Content.
 
In order to do this, you will need to take the following steps on your computer:
