The Fault Reporter is an external utility included with SONAR that helps us collect and analyze crashes if they occur. On Windows 8, some users may experience a prompt to install the .NET 3.5 Framework from Microsoft, which does not normally install on Windows 8.

In the SONAR X3a update, we have rebuilt the Fault Reporter utility to use the .NET 4.5 Framework. With this being said, if you are experiencing a prompt to install the .NET 3.5 Framework from the Fault Reporter, you should instead install the SONAR X3a update (only applicable to customers who have purchased the disc versions of SONAR X3).
